Introduction to electrical engnineering

Electrical engineering is a professional engineering discipline that generally deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism

Became an identifiable occupation in the latter half of the 19th century after commercialization of the electric telegraph, the telephone, and electric power distribution and use.

Electrical engineering has now subdivided into a wide range of subfields including

power engineering

An  is a network of electrical components deployed to supply, transfer, and use electric power

control systems

A control system manages, commands, directs, or regulates the behavior of other devices or systems using control loop

Electronics

is the discipline dealing with the development and application of devices and systems involving the flow of electrons in a vacuum, in gaseous media, and in semiconductors.

computer engineering

is a discipline that integrates several fields of computer science  and electronic engineering  required to develop computer hardware and software

robotics

is an interdisciplinary branch of engineering and science that includes mechanical engineering, electronics engineering ,computer science, and others. Robotics deals with the design, construction, operation, and use of robots, as well as computer systems for their control, sensory feedback, and information processing.

Skill you need to be an an engineer

Electrical engineers work in a very wide range of industries and the skills required are likewise variable. These range from basic circuit theory to the management skills required of a project manager. The tools and equipment that an individual engineer may need are similarly variable, ranging from a simple voltmeter to a top end analyzer to sophisticated design and manufacturing software.
